Parties Akimbo // Drag

A fab perk this busy week that keeps us all trucking along? All the parties with open bars. Like I told Hamish Bowles' assistant at the McCafé in the Tent Salon pre-Carolina Herrera, it's neither the half-and-half nor the artificial sweeteners that will be the death of this fashionista; it's the booze and mixers-from-concentrate.
Cute label Oak celebrated their new line with a hip party at Santos Party House -- how downtown of us! -- where Akimbo showed up in a fur stole accessorised with a giant gold pin. Partiers included one fabulous lady, Cole Mohr her/himself, and uber-stylist Michelle Carimpoing, who regaled us with her fabulous hair.
Once the drag queens cleared the dance floor, Akimbo and showmate-in-crime hoofed over to the Cynthia Rowley after-party at super cool Gold Bar. We toasted Cynthia's moody new collection with Cynthia herself (still on the lookout for a new babysitter for you girl, don't give up hope!) Loving the gold skull decor as much as the fresh blueberries at the bar and the fabulously waifish CR staff. Work!
For Friday, might swing by a studio opening before trotting over to the Ideeen party and then the Rad Hourani party, because honestly the Misshapes are always relevant! Stop by and meet Akimbo!
