Is It Wrong That I Still Kind of Love Her?

I know she hasn't had a hit since, what, 2003? That she's--supposedly--off the nose candy and sober-ish. And that she's a gold-digging sapph-faux, but...actually, that sounds like a good reason to kind of love anyone. That, and she's still alive--to, I'm sure, many people's surprise. Work, tranny.
I like your hair extensions, bitch.

Working IT: Nick Knight for British Vogue

Nick Knight is (as we know) an awesome photographer. He's the rare artist who pulls great clothes, uses interesting models, hires amazing stylists and combines it all inventively. His spreads rarely bore, and he gets them into mainstream magazines like British Vogue! Take a look at this new madcap story:Also one of the girls in this story is Jourdan Dunn... who is black but did you notice? Or were the clothes where your attention went?
But here's the true sign of a great lensman? Transforming Lily Donaldson into a starfish...with fringe:

Really?

Blake Lively on the December cover of W

Now, I'm as big a Gossip Girl fan as the next fag, but I'm not sure how I feel about this. And by this I mean: a.) the photo, itself, b.) the weird photoshopping, c.) that surly expression, d.) that awkward pose and e.) the choice of Blake Lively over the wonderfully cheekboned Leighton Meester. W has long been one of my favorite fashion pubs, a welcome portfolio-sized alternative to American Vogue's continued pandering to the Us Weekly, but it seems like W is following in its older sister's stilettoed path. First, Kate Hudson "graces" the September cover, eschewing a wonderful spread featuring the chameleonic Tilda Swinton, now this. I'm going to have to start shelving out some serious coin for V or Italian Vogue. Well, at least Vogue Jr. still has some great photo spreads, even if one of them is by Brad Pitt.

Oh-No-She-Didn't-Akimbo // Beyoncé wears Gareth Pugh!

Fuck Deréon!
Beyoncé rocked Gareth Pugh at the MTV Europe Awards thing not once -- but twice! She worked a hot black minidress and gold robo-gloves on the red carpet.
Then she wore a hot robot dress for her performance on the show! Girl should stick to high-end duds like this -- remember when Gareth's dress was at the Met Museum? Kudos to the hippy lady for shouting out to a cool young British designer at a UK event. Stay relevant! Bravo!

DC: The Nation's (Fashion) Capital?

It's like day and night, right? Of course the day is full of dull, tedious work, while the night holds a chic dinner party with an open bar.

Already a lot has been said about Michelle Obama ascending to the haute couture throne left vacant by Jackie O some forty-five years ago, and though all this chatter does in effect take away from the intelligence and impressive credentials of the future First Lady by focusing so heavily on her outward appearance, is that not the price one has to pay for being a public figure? The Obama's are now a major part of the cultural zeitgeist, more than any political family since, yes of course, the Kennedys. And why wouldn't they be; they're young, they're intelligent and they're attractive. Oh, and black, if you hadn't noticed. So with all this focus being placed on what MiMi (I'm trying out new nicknames) and her proclivity towards young, up and coming designers like Thakoon Panichgul, Isabel Toledo and Maria Pinto, instead of tried and true favorites like Oscar, Michael and Ralph, much more focus will be placed on DC and its role in fashion. And Chelly (how do we feel about that one?) is more than equipped to broadly shoulder that responsibility. Girl loves and knows her jewel tones and flattering silhouettes. Her style will inspire and influence that of other political wives as well as women the world over. Personally, I'm already rethinking the kitten heel, once the bane of my existence. DC will never usurp New York as America's reigning fashion capital; there are too many things to focus on, such as the crumbling economy, the neverending war, the complete lack of respect and cooperation of the international community, etc, but that city is about to get a major makeover. Cue the dressing room montage set to Madonna's "Dress You Up in My Love!" Ooh, go head DC, you're looking fierce in that Narcisso Rodriguez, city-girl!

Chanel: It's Tatou Much

Here's Audrey Tatou in Anne Fontaine's upcoming film "Coco Avant Chanel":

Tatou stars as the legendary designer in this biopic. It might suck but hopefully the clothes will be epic. Let's hope the actresses' turn as Chanel is more inspiring than her role as... Jesus's relative? What? I still don't get that movie.

Oh hi...

Chocolate brown blouse, matronly, yes, but with this rack, who needs to flaunt? It's a good thing. And so is this stash of bourbon I'm holding between the cheeks of my still rather firm, thank you, bum; little trick I learned from my dear friend, Bruno, a stunning black lesbian with a surprisingly soft touch that brings to mind warm Egyptian cotton or fresh cut baby's breath. How did I even get invited to this? I don't even know what a 'Juicy Couture' is, though I must admit it sounds delicious. I thought this pointy-toed heel would be appropriate, that is what the kids are wearing, right? Like I care, dammit, I'm richer than God, and almost as rich as Oprah. I was so damn close, too. Oooh, is that Penn Badgley? I'm going to teach him the art of stuffing a turkey, using my vagina as a test subject. Pardon me, will you?
