Klute, 1971
Starring: Jane Fonda
Costumes by: Ann Roth
Directed by: Alan J. Pakula
Jane Fonda gives perhaps her most memorable role as Bree Daniels, the original hooker with a heart of gold, and deservedly won her first of two Oscars (suck on that one, Roberts). Being a Hollywood film, despite the increasing push towards realism and naturalism of the 70s, this lady of the night comes with one of the most covetable wardrobes in all of filmdom.
Strike that pose, slut.
Strike that pose, slut.
Though if Armed and Akimbo was making that kind of dough, we'd be in thigh high leather boots too...well, more often anyway. But it would be best to avoid that unruly cut. Like unprotected sex in a shipyard with several...several men or polyester, somethings just belong in the 70s.

As if i didn't just see a very high pair of blue suede thigh high boots stepping ever so terrifyingly down the aisles of trader joes, like a vogue intern in..well, a trader joes.
Keep the Trader Mao's boxed pad thai but please god let go of those chunky heels.
